Jaguar XF Spare Car Keys
Today we managed 12 car keys this is just one of many jobs completed in what was a hectic car key programming day.
We had booked in this lady for her Jaguar key coding and as it turns out this job tested us a little.
The customers battery kept dropping so we connected our back up battery pack which then gives an all important steady power supply which is required for successful and safe key programming.
We then found 2 loose wires on the back of the OBD diagnostic port which needed tightening up before we could communicate with the vehicle ECU in order to program her new key.
Further investigations revealed that a fuse also needed replacing.
A simple fuse had held us up although it wasn't the end of the world it only put an extra 10 minutes on this ladies wait time.
In spite of these set backs we managed to cut the emergency blade and program a new key within 25 minutes (this job would normally be 10-15 minutes long.
This particular job was priced at £150 there were no extra charges for the extra work we had to carry out. Date 26-11-2025
